Private jet charter and flights to Botswana

Botswana is one of Africa’s most exclusive safari destinations. Remote and rich in wildlife, its vast desert and network of waterways are best reached by light aircraft. Air Charter Service can help you charter flights to Botswana, so you can spend as much time as possible out on game drives instead of queueing in airports. Let our team help you Charter a private jet to Botswana.

Land-locked Botswana is bordered by South Africa to the south, Zimbabwe to the northeast and Namibia to the west and north. Seventy percent of the country is Kalahari Desert, made up of vast sand dunes, open plains, forests, ancient riverbeds and salt pans, but its biggest attraction lies in the north of the country. The Okavango Delta is Botswana’s watery wonderland; a maze of islands and waterways that make up the world’s biggest inland delta system. The Okavango offers an intimate safari experience with a difference – the best way to view wildlife here is to glide through the channels in a traditional mokoro canoe. Mokoros are quietly poled through the reeds, and the lack of noise means you can get up close with crocodile and hippo, as well as spotting elephant, wild dog, lion and over 400 bird species on the riverbanks and in the lush forest.

At the edge of the Okavango Delta lies Botswana’s oldest national park. Chobe National Park is best known for its huge elephant herds – each year during the dry season (May to November), around 50,000 large Kalahari elephants congregate around the Chobe Riverfront. While the flourishing Okavango and Chobe Riverfront teem with life, the otherworldly Magkadikgai Pans are a collection of glistening salt pans amid empty desert that are best explored by quad bike. For a real off-the-beaten-track adventure, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve is huge expanse of raw beauty, only recently reopened to the public and home to wildlife including the Big Five.

To complement travelling in style by light aircraft, Botswana has a wonderful choice of high-end safari accommodation, with luxe brands like Belmond sensitively constructing traditional camps and lodges in the heart of the wilderness. At Belmond Eagle Island Lodge, each of the 12 thatched tents has a private plunge pool with views of the Okavango Delta.

Botswana’s main airport lies close to its quiet capital, Gaborone, in the southeast of the country. For safari-goers we recommend flying into either Maun or Kasane airports in the north, which are suitable for a variety of private jets and great starting points to explore the national parks. From Maun it’s also easy to fly on to Victoria Falls and Cape Town. Simply contact our team and we’ll arrange everything you need to charter a private jet to Botswana.
