Fly to Sundance Film Festival by private jet charter

Sundance comes to Utah each January, bringing moguls and movie stars to scenic Park City. Book a private jet charter to arrive in true A-List style.

About Sundance

In 1981, movie star and director Robert Redford founded The Sundance Institute, named after the character he played in 1969 American Western film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Redford’s goal was to create opportunities for independent and up-and-coming filmmakers to reach a wider audience. He partnered with John Earle, Cirina Hampton Catania and Sterling Van Wagenen, who had founded the U.S. Film Festival in Utah in 1978, and the festival was reborn as the Sundance Film Festival in 1991. Redford provided the name and offered the use of his own land in the Wasatch Mountains, also named Sundance, for parts of the festival.

Sundance is packed with screenings, panel discussions, musical performances and exhibitions. The climax is an awards ceremony celebrating the best films as selected by a jury of film industry grandees, a 2018 date for which will soon be available here. The awards are known for introducing indie movies to a wider audience, with previous winners including comedy-dramas Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and Dear White People and Academy Award-nominated Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Sundance 2018 takes place from January 18-29 and will screen 110 feature films from 29 countries, including 100 world premieres To browse the Sundance Film Festival program, click here.

Tickets

The most comprehensive ticket for Sundance is the Express Pass, available only to Sundance Circle members (join by making a donation to the institute here), which includes access to all screenings, priority entrance, an official photo credential and (if you’re buying entry to the second half of the festival) a ticket to the awards party. Express Pass tickets cost $3,500 for the first half of the festival (18-23 January) and $3,000 for the second half (24-29 January).

It’s also possible to buy tickets for one venue only, such as the Eccles Theatre (from $1,800) or Grand Theatre (from $500). Or, if you are more interested in the social and networking side of festival and don’t mind missing film screenings, at $500 an Official Credential gives you access to Filmmaker Lodge, the New Frontier art exhibition and the Sundance ASCAP Music Café (in the daytime only). All tickets are available for purchase here.
